Kmart Group will open its largest New Zealand store on Thursday, 10 September at Westgate Town Centre in Auckland. The 6,700-square-metre store will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and will be the first Kmart in New Zealand to use the Plan C+ format. The new layout promises refreshed store designs, enhanced product coordination, new service options and technology to simplify shopping. The opening will create 200 new jobs for the local community.

Kmart Group Managing Director Aleks Spaseska said the store reflects the company’s ongoing investment in New Zealand and its confidence in the market’s future. “New Zealand is an important part of Kmart's growth story, and the opening of our Westgate store demonstrates our ongoing commitment to investing in the market for the long term,” she added.

The Westgate store will bring the Plan C+ format to New Zealand for the first time, offering shoppers a modern, convenient experience. The 24-hour operation is intended to accommodate customers’ varied schedules and increase accessibility across the Auckland region.
